At the Camp Rilea Ropes Course on June 19, we learned about teamwork, trust, leadership, and communication. Under the instruction of Mr. Corliss of Seaside High School, students first played a few warm-up games to get them working on their communication skills. The students learned quickly that the groups who kept the lines of communication open had the best results. Next, students were introduced to a number of activities that allowed them to exercise and improve their team-building skills. Everyone took a lunch break for a fried shrimp feast and then resumed in the afternoon for some pretty daring ropes work.

Joel runs circles around the rest of his group. Meagan and James playing Alaskan golf.
Mr. Corliss and Johnathan demonstrating the fine art of balance. Object: get all group members to the edges without touching the ground!
James exhibits his brave side as the first to try the trust fall. Moria takes the plunge!
Don't drop Mr. T!
