Upward Bound 2009

Upward Bound Summer Academy is a six week intensive academic program comprised of participating high school students from Astoria, Seaside and Warrenton High schools. UBSA curriculum is hands-on, experiential and service-learning based. The first half of the UBSA day is spent in project groups, which generate an end-product that benefits our community directly.  Project groups all include academics in core subject areas, such as science, writing, foreign language, and social studies.  The links below will give you more current information on the progress of these projects.   The afternoons of UBSA are dedicated to academic instruction in Mathematics, Literature/Composition, Foregign Language, and Science. UBSA 2009  begins June 15 and ends with our project presentation in the evening of July 23.  UBSA is held at Clatsop Community College, Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. and Fridays are field trip days

I noticed that the page is slow to scroll down -- image pixelates. I think this is because the jpg is over 700 kb -- if resized it might work better.
